Editor in Chief – Kate Webster
Kate Webster is a travel journalist – writer and photographer who travels the globe in search of vivid imagery and compelling stories that capture the essence of the places she visits. Born out of a life-long love of travel and fascination with the world around her, is Kate’s inspiration behind her writing and photography.
Kate fell in love with Africa on her first visit and has since returned 11 times. From surviving the perils of white water rafting on the Nile River in Uganda, getting bitten by a lion in South Africa and witnessing a hippo birth in the Mara, nothing can deter Kate’s passion for Africa. Not even a deadly dose of not one but two strains of malaria can’t keep her away.
When she’s not bouncing around the world on ramshackle buses, overcrowded trains, or on the back of a rickshaw, you can find her based in the Gold Coast, Australia eagerly planning her next adventure. Kate works with both online and print publications and has been published regularly in both.
Kate is the Editor and Owner of Captured Travel, Travelling Solo and Global Surf Sounds. She also works as the Online Travel News Editor for Holidays For Couples and Editor for Regional Skies – the in-flight magazine for Fly Corporate Air.
Kate has been published in/on Travel Weekly, ETB, KarryOn Voyager Magazine, Alliance Inflight Magazine, Tigerair Inflight Magazine – TigerTales, Scoot Inflight Magazine, Holidays for Couples Magazine, Intrepid Travel, CruiseCritic, Get Up & Go Magazine, Destinations Magazine, The Tradie, The Link and Mining Life & Living.
Kate works under her company Captured Travel Media.
